Proving Once Again...

...America will only let a Jew go so far...

Tears streamed from "American Idol" judge Paula Abdul's eyes when the result was announced. The audience stood and clapped, paying their respects.

In a close vote, Abdul's favorite finalist, Elliott Yamin — an "Idol" underdog and blue-eyed soul singer — was bounced off the Fox talent contest during Wednesday's elimination show.

The exit of the 27-year-old Richmond, Va., resident cleared the path for a final showdown between gray-haired Taylor Hicks and sultry Katharine McPhee. The winner will be crowned May 24.

During Wednesday's program, Yamin told host Ryan Seacrest he felt "truly blessed."

You know Paula was rooting for him so hard because their memebers of the same tribe. She wasn't even trying to hide her love for her people. You knew either Katherine McPhee or Taylor Hicks were going to win. They have apple pie written all over them.

Well....my cousin always said that they would never let an intelligent and well versed black person win American Idol. I guess that goes for Jews as well.

Oh, and I was rootin' for a Paris/Elliott showdown, of course :)

Ah yes...the old Blacks Vs. Jews Routine...

    I know it well... :)

The thing is, McPhee's performances this week ( and the last couple of weeks ) were terrible! She has no business being in the final two. But now that she is I don't think it bodes well for Taylor to win. He's no more typical "Idol" than Elliot was and honestly, I expected him and Elliot to both be gone from the competition a long time ago. I would have been happy seeing Elliot and Taylor duke it out in the finals and would have accepted either of them as winner. McPhee has "heir to the Clarkson throne" written all over her though, so I guess it was inevitable that she was gonna steal the show in the home stretch.

Oh, and didn't Rueben win 'Idol' a couple of years ago? Is he automatically discounted from being "intelligent and well-versed" because he's fat or something. Dude could sing!

He just disappeared after he dropped that lackluster-ass album.

None of the 'AI' winners other than Clarkson have been able to take control of their own careers and make themselves into the artists they actually want to be once the "buzz" from the show wears off. I gotta hand it to her in that respect.
